In July, 1890, a young Presbyterian college president named John M. Wagstaff moved to Abilene to begin the practice of law. Wagstaff was among the first pioneer lawyers in the young Texas prairie town. Quickly distinguishing himself as a superior trial lawyer in West Texas, he gained statewide recognition from the legal community and was a civic leader for more than a half century.

Today, Wagstaff Law Firm continues the tradition established over 110 years ago by the pioneering young lawyer - providing clients with superior representation.
